Storyline: A journalist busts a business scam. That company’s young tycoon tricks her into an affair for revenge. After she is forced into an abortion (as the buzz goes), her desensitised, toughened self returns to sleep her way through the corporate world to get back at him. His last film called Buddha In A Traffic Jam is yet to release. Goal received a lukewarm response at the box-office, but apparently its sequel has been on the cards for a while.
Music: Harshit Saxena. He makes his debut as a music composer with this film. Though this film is produced by a Bhatt (Vikram Bhatt), the reviews haven’t had very good things to say.
Controversies/stunts: Nudity works wonders, film poster featuring a bare back.
Marketing/hype: Nothing extraordinary.
Our assessment: He promises her a ‘gadi’, ‘flat’ and a love song, before dumping her ruthlessly. She returns to take revenge, and says “main iss sheher ki sabse badi ran** banna chahti hu”. Apparently that helps. Laced with a gazillion sex scenes, this film’s out there for a very evident purpose. Contributing to good cinema doesn’t look like that purpose. For the final verdict, look out for Anupama Chopra’s review tomorrow in the Watch & Listen page of Hindustan Times’ Do! section.
